Let Down by WordPress?

 This blog exists in case Wordpress.com let me down. 

The last time it occurred, a few years ago, that my credit card was updated with a new number and expiry date, it resulted in no problems anywhere else, but caused extreme stress with Wordpress.com regarding my renewal of paulathewriter.com. The issue was eventually resolved. 

The routine renewals since, with the same card number, have gone through automatically, with no issues whatsoever. 

My card number and expiry date changed again. Fine everywhere else, but not with Wordpress.com. 

The "Happiness Engineers", as they call their customer service staff, are currently not engineering much other than stress. Let's hope they are able to do their jobs behind the scenes, and resolve the issue. 

Otherwise, broken links all over the Internet will be my "reward" for years of hard work on my website and blog. It will revert to being a "freebie" site, paulathewriter.wordpress.com. Many of the images may cease to display, if I do not have the webspace entitlement. Spammy ads will ruin the visitor experience. And after I have tried so hard to pay, and the bank confirmed that the payment had been approved from their end.

NOTE: LAST PROBLEM 2022, IT TRANSPIRES. ONLY ONE SUCCESSFUL YEAR IN BETWEEN. I DID NOT EXPECT MY CARD, EXPIRY DATE IN 2027, TO BE REPLACED EARLY, BUT IT SHOULD NOT CAUSE SUCH AN ISSUE. IT ONLY DOES ON WORDPRESS.
